Letty received her BFA with honors in Illustration in 2001 from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. After completing her studies, she moved to NYC.  It was there that she worked full time as a faux finishing artist and muralist for interiors and was introduced to scenic painting for the theatre.  In 2003, she worked as a scenic artist and scenic design assistant at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

She relocated to San Francisco in 2004 and has been working as a painter in the Bay Area  ever since. Shortly after, she began to paint scenery for the Drama department at Stanford University where she also taught a class in Scenic Painting for Theatre.  Letty was a staff scenic artist for the American Conservatory Theatre from 2009 until their scene shop closure in 2015.  From 2017 until mid 2021, she was the paint charge for Acme Scenery Co.  Letty has also painted for the SF Opera, Ballet, and Symphony.  She occasionally paints for TV and film and continues to take commissions as a muralist, faux artist and illustrator as well. In the last few years, she has taken up black and white film photography and platinum palladium printing.

Her landscapes have been exhibited in the national juried shows for both the American Impressionist Society and the Society of Master Impressionists.  Letty is also a scenic artist member of the Art Director's Guild Bay Area Local 800.

After 20 years of being a scenic, Letty is now pursuing her UC Master Gardening certification for San Francisco and San Mateo counties.
